TITLE I: NAME, REGISTERED OFFICE, DURATION, PURPOSE, AND ACTIVITIES

Article 1: Name and Legal Form

The association is established as a non-profit association, abbreviated as ‘VZW’ in Dutch, in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Companies and Associations.

The association bears the name: Atopia.

All deeds, invoices, announcements, publications, letters, orders, websites, and other documents, whether in electronic form or not, issued by the association, shall state the name of the association, immediately preceded or followed by the words “vereniging zonder winstoogmerk” (non-profit association) or by the abbreviation “VZW”, as well as the address of the association's registered office, the enterprise number, and the mention "rechtspersonenregister" or "RPR" (Register of Legal Entities), followed by the name of the competent enterprise court.

Article 2: Registered Office

The registered office of the association is located in the Flemish Region. The registered office may be moved within the same language area by a simple decision of the governing body, provided that the amendment to the articles of association is published in the Annexes to the Belgian Official Gazette.

Article 3: Duration

The association is established for an indefinite period. It may be dissolved at any time in accordance with the provisions of these articles of association and the law.

Article 4: Purpose

The association has a disinterested, non-material purpose and does not seek to distribute profits to its members or directors. Any positive results will always be allocated to the realisation of the disinterested purpose.

To achieve its purpose, the association may, both in Belgium and abroad, undertake the following activities, among others:

a) Organising debates, lectures, workshops, conferences, and other events to stimulate public discourse on borders, nationality, and governance.
